Fabulous Sunday Roast
We went as a couple for Sunday Dinner. The bar and restaurant are warm and welcoming and the staff are so friendly and attentive. We had the roast sirloin of beef with vegetable and it was cooked to perfection. Fantastic Sunday Roast, the best we have had in a long time. We will definitely be returning. I cannot recommend highly enough.

Lovely country pub
We turned up on Saturday for lunch, without reservation, the pub was busy, but the friendly staff said we could wait at the bar as a couple of tables were finishing up. Lunch was tasty, the vegetarian options were very good along with more traditional pub lunch options. The team were all incredibly friendly, dogs are common place & equally made to feel welcome. Would highly recommend but would also recommend booking as it is a popular place!

Consistently good food and well worth a visit
We had a wonderful Sunday lunch out with the family. The fact that you need to book in advance tells you how good this place is - well worth a visit! The food is consistently good - generous portions and delicious. The service is equally as good and we had a lovely waitress today who was really helpful.

Wonderful country pub
December 23rd Christmas Carol night. Always wonderful and the food and drink is second to none. Pay a visit and enjoy a real country pub atmosphere.

"This was such a great find for us whilst on a mini-break. Set in the pretty little village of Sparsholt, this is gastro pub done brilliantly. The food was excellent - salmon tacos and chicken satay to start were lovely, and for mains the fillet steak was so tender and tasty. Also, really nice quality children's meals too. The whole place is quintessential old English pub style, but with really classy touches and great interior decor. While we didn't sit in it the garden as it was a bit chilly that evening, it is beautiful and surrounded by countryside. Really friendly staff and very happy we found it!"
