KING ALFRED BEER FESTIVAL 24 TH -27 TH MAY 2019
The King Alfred in Hyde, Winchester, is hosting its second beer festival during the late May bank
holiday this year. The event is set to span across the weekend starting Friday evening with 30 beers
and 10 ciders, live music, BBQ and Pizza. Following the success of 2018’s festival, this family-friendly
event has been talked about all year long!
A hosted arts and crafts table will keep the little ones busy on Saturday and Sunday between 12noon
and 5pm. The live music starts with Winchester favourite ‘Dean Dyson’ kicking us off on Friday
evening at 6:30pm, Saturday opens with ‘One for the Road’ at 2pm, followed by the legendary SJT
Charity Blues Jam musicians at 7pm. Once again playing to raise money for Hampshire and Isle of
Wight Air Ambulance. Sunday will see Jude Davidson returning for the afternoon session playing at
You can expect to find many local tipples across the weekend with beers from Itchen Valley Brewery,
King Alfred’s Brewery, Red Cat and Steam Town Brew Co. to name a few! Fingers crossed for a
scorcher of a weekend!!
